Description
The popular R-77 offers outstanding performance, thanks to being developed in the heat of competition. It features a trapezoidal design, which allows a large volume of packing material and in turn delivers top performance. The R-77 muffler's front cap is MIG-welded, while the end cap is riveted using high-end 304-L polished stainless steel rivets and bands.

I’ve had a Signature series R77 on my GSX-R for about eight years. (Never repacked despite having done about 30,000kms.) Loved the sound, the look, and the feeling of having a Yoshi pipe on there. Unfortunately had a light spill and it got scratched. Decided to replace it and settled on the Street SS version mainly due to the price and its relationship with international tax compliance, as I ideally I would have loved to go carbon.
Anyway, prior to making the call I contacted Yoshimura and they were incredibly helpful about my options, including buying only the parts required to effectively rebuild it, including with a carbon outer.
I wasn’t brave enough and didn’t trust myself not to mess it up this time so pulled the trigger on this.
To my surprise it arrived in New Zealand within five days which was incredibly fast, shoutout to FedEx, and with zero damage.
It looks incredible, the parts were all freshly manufactured, I’m talking weeks old, even the packaging was cool as well.
It’s yet to go on the bike but let’s face it, there’s zero chance this is going to sound anything short of amazing.
My only gripe is that they’re not more readily available in NZ but if you don’t mind spending the money and going through the admin of the higher priced versions I guess it’s a no brainer.
