Team Twisted Tea Suzuki hit the halfway point of the 2021 Lucas Oil A.M.A. Pro Motocross series this past weekend at the Spring Creek MX track in Millville, Minnesota. Max Anstie and Brandon Hartranft both had eye catching performances. Max finished in the top 10 during moto 1 and Hartranft raced his way from last to 14th place, passing twenty-six of his competitors in the process.
Max Anstie (#34) finishes in 9th place in the first moto.
Max Anstie (#34) – What a day for Max Anstie, going 9-11 for 11th overall. His best result came in the first moto after a rough start that saw him outside the top 15. Max climbed his way into 9th place, capping off a hard-fought battle into the top 10. He continued his solid performance into the following race, finishing in 11th place after a mid-moto crash.
"Made some progress here at Millville," said Max Anstie. "I'm happy with the performance today, and we went 9-11. Second moto I was riding well I tipped over and came back to 11th. We have been searching, and we made some steps. I'm looking forward to these next couple of weeks."
Brandon Hartranft (#28) comes from half a lap down to 14th place in moto 1.
Brandon Hartranft (#28) – The 450 premier class rookie, Brandon Hartranft continues to improve on his RM-Z450 Suzuki, showing consistency on the track. After a first moto debacle that saw him miss the gate drop by over 20 seconds, Brandon raced with determination, passing twenty-six competitors on his way to 14th place. A part failure diagnosed on the starting line being the culprit. In the second moto, eager for a gate drop, Brandon got a significant jump off the gate and was inside the top 10 for the first half of the race before a mistake dropped him back to 14th. As the race ensued, Brandon made two more passes for 12th place. He finished 13th overall, going 14-12 in his motos.
"Solid day for me at Spring Creek, said Brandon Hartranft. "I qualified really well. I was 2 seconds off top 5 today in qualifying. In moto 1, I had a bike issue and missed the gate drop by over 20 seconds. I came from last to 14th place. In moto 2, I had a great start. I was, I think 6th in the first corner, I finished in 12th place. My ridings well… I am going to take the positives and keep moving forward.
