2009 Superbike

Superbikes aren’t exactly “fun” machines to ride. They are big, mean, nasty things that define the word “Brutal” in every way.

All one has to do is sit near the exit of any corner on the circuit and watch our big GSX-Rs paint huge, lurid, black stripes on corner-exit, as our riders wrestle a delicate ballet on the razor’s edge of control.

Or how about watching the boys braking hideously late as the big Suzukis squirm underneath them; again trying to control these incredible machines as they sneak a little bit further “over the line”.

The Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000s are truly the zenith of Superbike technology in America. Every piece on these bikes is massaged, meticulously prepared, and honed to perfection. The famous power that Yoshimura, and the GSX-R line of Suzuki motorcycles is known for, is in abundant supply. These are 200mph motorcycles that accelerate so hard it is mind blurring.

To the average rider watching from the stands – it’s really hard to wrap our mind around the sensory overload involved in riding one of these missiles, but suffice to say it takes someone like Mladin, Young or Hayden to pull it off.
