Research and Development is the middle name of our company, so it only stands to reason we take it very seriously. So seriously in fact, that we built a completely separate facility dedicated to nothing but R&D and stuck it way down at the end of the street.

It’s not an issue of the R&D guys being anti-social… it’s a matter of focus.

Our guys are the best in the business. Imagine if you will, a bunch of really creative gear-heads turned loose in a facility that has every possible tool needed to make…well… anything!It’s an environment conducive to creating great products for sure. Thriving in this environment, our R&D technicians continually raise the bar on what the definition of a pipe can be. Our methodology is the key. The Yoshimura design process is simple and has never varied since the beginning of the company: Make the best parts possible, and never compromise.

The process takes as long as it takes. When the finished pipe is right, everyone knows it and the design is locked up and goes to manufacturing. But you can’t put a clock on making the best pipes, you just have to make them. We may not always have every pipe for every bike on a dealer’s shelf the day after the new models are released, but that is only because we take our time and do it right.
