The R-55 is currently one of Yoshimura's most popular pipes and for good reason. It's a hybrid of MotoGP, Superbike, and Yoshimura style, which makes for a pretty impressive package. It's asymmetrical shape appeals to the eye and really captures the spirit of MotoGP racing. It also complements the look of any sportbike, following the race-inspired lines of today's motorcycles.
The R-55 features a straight baffle with a removable low-volume insert. The pipe is TIG-welded to Yoshimura quality standards, and constructed from high-quality polished stainless steel sleeve and stainless steel end-cap. This R-55 gets special treatment for the ZX-14R with a laser etched logo on the end-cap. The laser-cut mounting bracket is TIG-welded to ensure strength and good looks.
This Full System weighs considerably less than the factory
dual configuration by utilizing a
4 into 1 header design with a single muffler mounted on the right side,
minimizing unwanted weight for the performance oriented rider. Full System includes Stainless Steel R-55 muffler, stainless steel headers and tail-pipe, installation hardware, and detailed instructions.
